Early 2008 the next date to look for
The guy behind the core technology of the laser tv, Greg Niven - marketing vice president of Sunnyvale, has stated that manufactures were "overly aggressive" when thinking how quickly they could bring the product to the market.
The technology required to create saleable product was apparently more complex than most thought - but they should be on sale for next Christmas - in the US at least.
Novolux has stated that the current LCD tv's can show about 40% of the colours that the human eye can see, but the new laser tvs will be able to show 90% of the colours with fewer components needing to be manufactured.
It is expected that Mitsubishi will make an announcement at next month's CES show in Los Vegas.
If you add up the numer of tv's sold it mounts to around 91 million - yikes! That's mega money!
It looks like the launch of Laser TVs has been delayed yet again!! It's just a never-ending story!!
