SmartHouse Declares that LCD's will be obscolete soon.

SmartHouse has declared that LCD TV's will be superceded by Laser TV's this Christmas.

They claim that the new Sony offering, the Orgainic light-emitting diode (oled) TV is so fantastic that wou won't be able to differentiate between TV and reality (and we don't mean the soaps).

Apparently Sony will start selling 11inch OLed TV's by the end of the year whilst Candon is due to sell 55 inch SED TV's about the same time.

Oled TV's use organic chemicals to emit their own light and don't need to be back lit so they can be as thin as 3mm.

SED TV's can also be as thin and use less power, but apparently Canon is in a legal dispute with a the patent holder so that may delay it's intoduction.
